Roderick Allison

Professional Speaker/Attorney/Comedian Roderick Allison has graced stages nationally and internationally for well over 25 years. Drawing from his unique mixture of careers, Roderick’s speaking style has been classified as “Professional Speaking…with a Comical Twist”! He’s consistently captivated audiences with his ability to specially tailor his material and design his presentations for the respective audience. Roderick often opens his presentation with a guarantee to the audience: “You’ll leave informed, you’ll leave entertained…but you will not leave BORED”!
Roderick’s love for public speaking started when he was only 7 years old, in his hometown of Kannapolis, NC, as he was constantly requested to speak at churches, schools, community events or anywhere else an audience was willing to listen. During his educational journey, he graduated as Class Valedictorian from North Carolina Central University and earned his law degree from UNC-Chapel Hill School of Law. After initially working as In-House Counsel for a non-profit corporation, Roderick founded The Allison Office, a general law practice in Creedmoor, NC.

Roderick is also a nationally recognized Comedian/Professional Speaker.

When he’s not providing legal services, he travels nationally and internationally providing his clean brand of comedy and professional speaking for churches, colleges, and corporations. He’s provided comedy/professional speaking for several corporations and organizations such as: The National Medical Association; Radio One; Pfizer; Novartis; N.C. Advocates for Justice; Urban Sports & Entertainment Group; Camelback Ventures; COSHAR Healthy Communities Foundation; Carolinas Council of Housing Redevelopment & Code Officials; North Carolina Central University; Livingstone College; Fayetteville State University and countless others.
In addition, he’s spoken/performed in diverse settings for audiences of all ages, races and backgrounds including: The National Museum of Women in the Arts (Washington, DC); Jamaica Fest; CIAA Basketball Tournaments and others.
Surprising to many, he is also a Trumpeter who has spent decades crafting his musical gift. He was a featured soloist for the highly acclaimed NCCU Jazz Band which performed with the Count Basie Orchestra, Branford Marsalis and other notable musicians.
Though he’s remained busy juggling multiple careers, Roderick has always welcomed the opportunity to share his professional speaking expertise and train students how to effectively communicate. Roderick served as a Public Speaking Instructor and/or Mock Trial Advisor at CFC Academy; Granville Central High School; Vance-Granville Community College Male Mentoring Success Initiative; Institute for the Development of Young Leaders and Camp Confidence. He’s also provided personal one-on-one training to youth and adults seeking to improve in the area of public speaking.
Roderick has also remained committed to serving the community, including: North Carolina Central University (Board of Trustees); N.C. Bar Association LREA Committee High School Law Career Conference (Chairman); N.C. Bar Foundation Civic Education & Community Engagement Committee; Granville County Community Foundation and others.
